ORA Chip’s Acro by Smokin Reefs

This is a really nice closeup of this young ORA Chip’s Acropora frag. It looks as if this coral is still getting acclimated to the new tank. Given a few weeks, this coral will color up into the beautiful purple/blue with a green tint. Polyp extension will also improve with time.

I think is shot is really nice. This ORA Chip’s Acro has beautiful color, and polyp extension. I really like the depth of field in this image, as this coral colony seems to be growing on forever.

ORA Chip’s Acropora Looking Blue

You can see in this photo of the ORA Chip’s Acro the effect of using a blue Metal Halide bulb (Phoenix 14K) in conjunction with Actinic+’s. The blue color on the flesh of this coral is now a brilliant blue and the yellowish polyps look greenish. Another really nice colony.

The colors of this photo are a bit different than the other photos. It may be due to the use of flash. This coral has encrusted onto the rock, and is clearly in some serious flow.
